Overview

The Scheduler/PCE is responsible for assisting the General Manager, Operations Manager, and Waste Manager with all facets of scheduling and project controls for all work activities at Alaron. Work assignments will include multiple concurrent projects and pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Develops Linear Schedule Method (LSM) or Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and updates to include development, master project schedule integration, and cost-loaded resource assignments


• Works collaboratively with managers, supervisors, project leads, and other key Alaron personnel to develop, baseline, and update project schedules using multiple formats and software


• Creates and maintains alignment of the work breakdown structure with the financial breakdown structure of pursuits and projects


• Develops cost and resource loaded schedules, generates cash flow curves, and incorporates earned value metrics and Key Performance Indicators


• Supports and challenges the project teams to develop accurate productivity durations and optimizes the sequence of work


• Incorporates change management and activity progression updates


• Assists with Risk Management identification, qualification, and mitigation planning


• Identifies, documents, and performs schedule analysis and time impact analysis


• Maintains sufficient and accurate documentation and storage


• Possesses exemplary personal workflow processes and time management skills


• Drives short-interval scheduling practices among project leadership staff


• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures


• Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
• Associates degree in engineering discipline, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and other scheduling and reporting tools
• Competent in use of schedule reporting for analysis and presentation purposes

 

Certification/Licenses:
• 40 hour Radiation Worker Certification

 

Reports to:
• Waste Manager (WM)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the team
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and various email software
• Strong team player
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent analysis, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
• Exhibits the ability to learn and apply new skills


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attends and facilitates Alaron weekly schedule meeting
• Works closely with project supervisor and leads to set reasonable task durations and to assist with tracking and reporting in the Project Report
• Assists with the coaching of team members to ensure appropriate performance standards within the various functional areas of the site effecting scheduling of work activities.

 

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Other duties as assigned

 

Working Conditions:
• Work at Alaron facility on 4 x 10 Mon-Thu schedule
