Overview

Veolia Nuclear Solutions Federal Services is looking for experienced Civil/Structural Engineers.  In this position professionals will develop detailed designs and analysis of civil and structural components for industrial and nuclear applications.  Successful candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individuals who possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment using excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

 Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in multidiscipline design teams to develop detailed designs.  Working closely with other Engineering disciplines to design and analyze foundations, structures, and racks required to support process and/or electrical equipment.
  • Preparing design drawings, design calculations, fabrication and construction specifications
  • Working independently to develop specific design media to meet design criteria and objectives
  • Reviewing and evaluating customer provided design criteria and interpreting and applying design codes and standards to ensure design products conform to approved design criteria, preparing or reviewing design calculations and design drawings.
  • Development and/or review of design documents and drawings that will be issued for construction

Qualifications

 Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering design
  • Working knowledge of finite element analyses codes (i.e., ANSY, SAP2000, etc.)
  • Working Knowledge of national codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
  • Reside in Pasco, Kennewick, or Richland Washington
  • PE License

 Desired Qualifications   

  • Familiarity with MathCAD
  • PE Licensed in Multiple States
  • Experience with Federal Projects within the Department of Defense, Department of Energy or Hanford Specific Experience
