The electrical engineering group works with internal and external architects and engineers to develop and design facilities for the Federal Government and related institutions.
-Provide technical/analytical guidance and leadership

-Generate calculations, design analyses, construction drawings, and specifications to solve engineering problems and provide technical expertise to support operations. The candidate will be expected to prepare lighting, power and communication construction documents and must poses knowledge of Federal, state, and local codes.
The Electrical Engineer will support on the development of electrical power distribution systems up to 480V 3 phase. The engineer will be required to provide maintenance instruction as well as support troubleshooting of electrical systems and facility instrumentation. Typical tasks include reviewing and revising electrical drawings, creating, editing and modifying Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Drawing Change Notices (DCNs), Preventative Maintenance (PM) documents and Modification Travelers. Under minimal supervision, the engineer will plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Function frequently as a lead on projects. Conduct site/area visits/walkdowns and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives and provide recommendations. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. Provides verbal and written reports and formal presentations to immediate Manager, Senior Management. Ensure company principles are incorporated into organization's activities and outputs.
Demonstrates problem solving skills in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Veolia Nuclear Solutions-Federal Services, LLC with rapidly changing business and technology needs.
-Provides technical guidance to subcontractors in the execution of design
-Protect the engineering reputation and legal standing of the corporation
-B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of directly related experience.
-PE license in Washington State or ability to obtain
Experience & Requirements:
-Must be a US Citizen
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing building electrical systems/electrical power distribution systems and knowledge of required maintenance
-Experience in construction period services, including answering RFIs, review of submittals, and field assessments
-Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks
-Experience in application of NFPA 70 and NEC.
-Exposure to Power Tools for Windows and other industry software
-Good interpersonal and communication skills needed to be able to communicate with personnel, management, and support organizations
-Work experience in nuclear or regulated environment desirable, DOE or Hanford experience preferred
