  • Overview

    VNS Federal Services has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator at the Wastren Hanford Laboratory (222-S) located in the 200-W area of the Hanford site. The individual will collaborate with the analytical department, laboratory management and our laboratory customers to ensure that project reports are completed according to regulatory and customer requirements.

     

    The Project Coordinator will need to understand applicable regulations, technical information, and communicate client requirements to laboratory personnel.

    Responsibilities

    Manage and coordinate the analytical performance of a set of analytical work requests through its entire life cycle.

    Identify and manage resources associated with project management team activities, including resolving prioritization of competing projects.

    Interface with WHL customers to establish sampling plans and customer objectives.

    Assist in the validation of analytical data.

    Author reports for all assigned projects, and review data for completeness prior to issuing final reports to customers.

    Prepare informational packages describing analytical work scope and distribute to analytical workgroups.

    Manage and coordinate projects to ensure timeliness and quality of final analytical deliverables.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • BS degree in related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year related experience in a laboratory environment.
    • Experience in analytical methods used for both environmental and industrial hygiene.
    • Experience in reviewing, validating data for final report submittals to clients.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with Hanford requirements.
    • Experience with laboratory information management systems; specifically OmniLIMS used at WHL.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    • High level of computer literacy (preferably Microsoft applications, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently as required.
    • Others duties as assigned.
